Admissions Officer, FIE London

FIE is currently seeking qualified, enthusiastic, confident and reliable applicants for the following full-time, permanent position within the Administration team.

Job Title: Admissions Officer

Location: London, England                            

Salary: £28,000 - £29,000 gross, per annum.

Start Date: early April 2019

Job Summary: The Admissions Officer will be responsible for the management and delivery of FIE’s admissions process, including application processing and monitoring for all FIE programme locations (London, Dublin and Amman). They will be responsible for implementing and integrating FIE’s admissions policies and procedures, through close liaison and consultation with relevant colleagues, teams, committees, and external stakeholders. They will develop and maintain effective admissions and enquiry follow up mechanisms.

They will also be responsible for creating, monitoring and maintaining accurate student application records, through close communication with partner university study abroad coordinators and leading communication with new coordinators. They will communicate admissions decisions, respond to admissions and programme related queries, and ensure effective support for applicants and a high quality student experience throughout the admissions journey. They will oversee, manage and develop FIE’s online application system (Terra Dotta Software), providing technical support, advice and guidance to others as needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a busy admissions role in higher education, ideally in an international setting

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in information system/database management
  • Demonstrable efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrable reliability
  • Proven time management, organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure, and to meet set deadlines
