| This course focuses on Britain and looks at a huge range of objects that have been part of people's lives during the last 250 years, from buildings, to clothes, to London's tube, and more. We look at beautiful objects, useful objects, mass-produced objects, hand-made objects. The course provides an introductory overview of the history of design in Britain from the industrial Revolution to the present day, and will help students to think about the importance of design in daily life both in the past and today. |
