Steve Luther is a Senior Director, Institutional Relations, working primarily with universities and colleges in NAFSA Regions 1, 2 and 12 (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, New Mexico, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming). He is based in suburban Portland, Oregon.
Steve has nearly 15 years of experience in international education, including 12 for one of America’s largest program provider organizations, and an additional decade in marketing roles for various education, government, and advertising organizations. His particular areas of expertise in international education include faculty outreach and development, student recruitment, university relations, partnership development and management, marketing and program design.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Central Connecticut State University, serves as a scholarship reviewer for several international education associations, and is an active member and presenter in NAFSA, the Forum on Education Abroad, and other trade organizations.
