EMERGENCY INCIDENT RESPONSE PLAN

All students are sent a copy of the Dublin Emergency Incident Response Plan, which is reviewed regularly by the Emergency Incident Review Group (EIRG). EIRG consists of senior managers and department heads from across FIE and convene at least once a year.

Invoking the procedure is at the discretion of EIRG and the EIRG based on the assessed threat to our Dublin-based student’s health, and welfare.

 

COMMUNICATION

All students should have a reachable cell phone and must submit their number to FIE during their application on the application portal (see our Dublin Local Area Map for places to buy phones and SIM cards).

Students should also check their emails regularly, and keep FIE informed of any changes to their email address. For other communique, we recommend that students look out for alerts from:

 

MAJOR CRITICAL INCIDENTS

 In the rare event of a firearms or weapons attack:

If you are in in the vicinity of the MCI, follow the guidance of relevant officials (e.g. fire marshals, event security, paramedics). If you are not in the vicinity, follow guidance and seek updates from official, credible sources such as RTE News or the Gardaí.
