Carol Nahra is a freelance journalist, documentary producer and media studies lecturer based in London, England. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Nahra has written about the documentary industry for twenty years, for industry publications and through her Docs on Screens blog. She has been consulted for many years for Sheffield Doc/Fest, the UK’s largest documentary film festival, and is a frequent moderator at documentary industry events and screenings. As a producer she has helped bring to the screen a number of creative documentaries on topics from climate change to religion to mental health, including Secrets of the Tribe for the BBC and HBO. A critique of the field of anthropology, it had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
