Since obtaining a joint honors BA in the History of Art & Architecture and Philosophy, Shannon has had a passion for art, culture and heritage. She has spent the past year volunteering with the visitor experience at the National Gallery of Ireland, and this has led her to pursue a Masters in Art history, Collections and Curating, starting in September.
She did some travel throughout the past year, and was fortunate enough to volunteer in Tanzania, working with a group of postgraduate students with a focus on using innovation and entrepreneurship to help tackle local and cultural development challenges.
She has also spent 3 months travelling Asia, immersing herself in their art, culture and beautiful landscapes. When not travelling or in the gallery, she's a very outdoorsy individual which she puts down to growing up in the Dublin mountains. She enjoys hiking, climbing, spending time with dogs and trying her best to live an environmentally-friendly lifestyle. She's looking forward to engaging with new International students and helping them enjoy their FIE experience in Dublin.
