Erika Richards has been active in the field of education abroad since 1990. In her current role as Chief Institutional Relations Officer, she leads FIE's US team and works in partnership with colleges and universities developing programs in London, Dublin, Barcelona, Madrid, and Amman, Jordan. Previous roles include Director of Study Abroad at Drexel University and Assistant Director of International Programs at Boston University. As a member of NAFSA's trainer corps, she has served as a NAFSA workshop Dean in the development of the Education Abroad E-learning program in addition to presenting at NAFSA, FORUM, and CIEE conferences. She has traveled extensively and lived and studied overseas in both high school and college. Erika earned a BA in Political Science from Syracuse University and an MA in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University. Erika is also an adjunct faculty member for Lesley University's graduate Intercultural Relations program and enjoys teaching the next generation of international educators.
