The Foundation for International Education (www.fie.org.uk) is an international higher education organisation with over 25 years of expertise in developing and managing experiential learning experiences.  Working in partnership with universities and colleges, primarily from the US, we provide immersive study abroad programmes for undergraduate students in London, Dublin, Madrid, Barcelona and Amman.

FIE is currently seeking qualified, enthusiastic and confident applicants for the following full-time, permanent position within the Institutional Relations Team.

Job Title: Institutional Relations Manager

Location: Remote- USA based

Salary: commensurate upon experience.

The Institutional Relations Manager serves as a member of FIE’s US-based Institutional Relations Team and applies in-depth program development and marketing skills to meet the needs of current FIE partners, grow new and existing partnerships, and develop new affiliations. The successful candidate will enjoy the challenges of developing existing and building new relationships, meeting deadlines, achieving goals, being responsive to the needs of colleagues, maintaining awareness of US higher education developments, and contributing to FIE’s growth and business development. This role is fully remote in the US.

The main skills and qualifications required for this job are: 

  • Educated to post graduate degree level.
  • Experience of working for, and broad understanding of, the US education sector, academic institutions and their cultures.
  • Effective communicator able to articulate ideas clearly, actively listen, and understand customer needs.
  • Solution oriented mind-set, able to identify and address partner concerns or issues effectively.
  • Strongly self-motivated and able to organize and prioritize work, manage schedules, and maximize productivity.
  • Able to understand sales data, trends, and metrics to make informed decisions and improve performance.
  • Adaptable and able to respond efficiently and effectively to the changing needs of our partners.
  • Natural networker, able to build strong professional networks to support engagement, sales and growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop, and maintain long-term relationships with partners to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Strong writing, speaking and presentation skills, able to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong command of the Microsoft Office package.
  • Home office located within easy access of a major hub airport to facilitate domestic travel.
  • Affinity for working both independently and as part of a remote team from a home-based office.
