Carmen Pitz is the Assistant Director for Study Abroad Advising at International Academic Programs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In this role, she serves as the study abroad advisor for a small portfolio of faculty led programs including the Global Gateway Initiative (short term summer programs with a scholarship to cover the program fee), and the Summer and Global Launch programs (short term and yearlong first year abroad programs). Carmen also supports the stewardship of these programs through work with campus partners and the advising community and is a campus liaison for the Honors and PEOPLE programs. She serves as the Education Abroad Knowledge Community Regional Liaison Coordinator for NAFSA and holds an MS in Global Higher Education and a BS in Art and Spanish Education.
