About

About

Raised in a biracial household with parents who immigrated from Indonesia and Mexico, Lisa has always had an interest in exploring cultures, leading to her 20+ year career in international education.  In 2002, she began her career at UCLA, and then joined AIFS in 2003, where she worked for 17 years developing relationships with universities throughout the Western US.  She applied her student affairs experience as a Resident Director with Semester at Sea, and supported students on-site as an Assistant Resident Director in Salamanca, Barcelona, Costa Rica, and London.   She continued her work in university relations with API, and she has served in NAFSA leadership roles as the Education Abroad Representative for the NAFSA Southern District and NAFSA Region XII teams.

Lisa was very happy to join FIE in 2024 as their Director of Institutional Relations for the Western US.  Outside of work, she loves to spend time with friends and family, travel, and chase live music.
