Andrew Francalanza

Andrew serves as FIE's Diversity & Inclusion consultant, leading initiatives and providing guidance on a case-by-case basis. Andrew previously held the full-time role of Diversity and Social Responsibility Officer at FIE, leading on our values of Diversity & Inclusivity, Sustainability, and Social Justice. He also was the Conference Director of the 2019 and 2021 Student Global Leadership Conference.

Originally from sunny Malta, Andrew has lived in London since 2005 and is a qualified a social worker. He has achieved both an accredited Level 6 Certificate in Leading D&I and Organisational Culture, and a Management Foundations Certificate.

Andrew has worked in the social, not-for-profit, voluntary, and charity sectors over the past twenty years, both in UK and Malta. He has experience in working within different sectors and clientele including disability, mental health, dual-diagnosis, drug and alcohol, housing, and victims of crime.

He is currently the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion HR Lead at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust. Andrew is also a Trustee of The Pink Singers, the longest running LGBTQ+ choir in Europe, and a Certified Champion of Pride 365.
