Spain claimed the #1 spot on the leading destinations list for US study abroad students in the Open Doors 2021 report. As such, we are pleased to offer two program options in this popular location in partnership with Active Learning Abroad (ALA), a specialized provider of Spain study abroad programs based in Madrid, that has been working with US students, faculty, and universities since 2010. FIE and ALA are two like-minded, mission-driven study abroad organizations that together will offer a highly-personalized study abroad and internship experience in Spain for your students.
We are thrilled to continue to expand our international education programming throughout Europe with another cosmopolitan capital city, Madrid, where FIE will offer study abroad choices at Universidad Nebrija in English and Spanish, as well as internship placements for upper-intermediate Spanish-speaking students. Universidad Nebrija is a small, private university offering a wide array courses in their Hispanic Studies and Spanish Plus programs
In lively Barcelona, students will enjoy the city's famous landmarks like Basílica de la Sagrada Familia, the Barri Gotic, Casa Batllo, and La Pedrera while taking courses taught in both English and Spanish at the highly-ranked Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
