PROGRAM SNAPSHOT:

Don your best power skirt or tie (or both!) and head to London to excel in your international summer internship! Beyond stretching your comfort zone and challenging your perspectives, summer internships abroad allow you to experience working life in another country. Students will enroll in FIE’s Key Course, British Life and Cultures as well as the International Internship Course (IIC), allowing them to split their time evenly between study, work, and play.

PROGRAM SNAPSHOT:

Do you want moher out of your summer study abroad? Call Dublin your home base as you explore this lush, green island that packs a punch! Enjoy life in the city center amidst ancient churches as your classes probe topics like Irish history, literature, politics, culture, and society. With included excursions to Northern and the west of Ireland tossed in the mix, you’ll be planning your return trip even before you learn how to pronounce sláinte (that’s Gaelic for “Cheers!”).

PROGRAM SNAPSHOT:

Return home not only with a new four-leaf-clover magnet for your fridge but also with a globally-competitive professional skill set. By placing students at small-to-medium sized enterprises in Dublin through FIE’s International Internship Course (IIC), students get real hands-on experiences to complement their classroom studies. Intercultural communication skills are not going out of style — and neither will this experience’s impact on your resume.

PROGRAM SNAPSHOT:

While Ireland and Jordan might seem like an unlikely pair at first glance, these two nations have continually walked the lines of peace despite sensitive cultural and societal roots of conflict. Examine their struggles — and their victories — in this unique program that begins in Dublin, traverses to Northern Ireland, and finishes in Amman.

For students interested in learning Modern Standard Arabic or Jordanian Arabic, tack on an intensive language course at the end of this program and extend your time in Amman*.

This program is a partnership between FIE and AMIDEAST.

*Course availability varies and is subject to change. Enrollment minimums apply. Roundtrip airfare from Dublin to Amman is included in the price of this program.

PROGRAM SNAPSHOT:

Walk in the footsteps of Shakespeare (and Dumbledore) as you explore British culture from way-back-when to modern day. With London as the star of the show, you’ll trade in a traditional four-walled classroom for excursions to historical and cultural sites such as the Globe Theatre, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament.

You'll take two courses from a ranked list of three including:

British Life and Visual Media , Shakespeare and Elizabethan Literature , and Photojournalism: London Through the Lens — come alive as you do.

* Students rank their courses 1-3 in order of preference; enrollment minimums apply
