INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE WITH HEALTH COVERAGE

 LONDON/ DUBLIN

 AMMAN

As part of the FIE program, all students are covered by Endsleigh Insurance Services Limited, unless this coverage has been waived by their home institution. Please check with your study abroad advisor to determine if there is a policy provided through your home campus.

Just prior to arrival, FIE will email covered students detailed Endsleigh policy documentation including policy number. These documents will contain the important benefits and exclusions in relation to the policy and we recommend that you print and read. Endsleigh coverage is in effect only for the dates of the program so you should not cancel your US-based medical coverage.

FIE is an appointed representative of Endsleigh Insurance Services Limited, which is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (http://www.fca.org.uk/register).

  • Before making an appointment with the doctor, you should check to make sure you are covered by calling 0845 271 4472. Tell the representative you are insured with Endsleigh and give your policy reference number (this will start with IL9).
  • Your policy has a one-time deductible of £25, which is payable in the event of each claim.
  • You will be liable for the entire visit fee if you fail to attend an appointment.
  • All referrals to specialists must be made by a general practitioner and approved by Endsleigh.
  • Most medical costs after the first deductible are covered by the Endsleigh health insurance policy. Check the terms and conditions in the Endsleigh policy.
  • Please refer to your communication from FIE for the Statement of Insurance and Key Facts and the Group Policy Travel Insurance documents.
As part of the program fee, AMIDEAST provides medical and accident insurance for all students through CISI. In addition to medical insurance, CISI provides high-quality medical, political, and natural disaster evacuation coverage.

Once in the country, AMIDEAST program staff will help students deal with medical issues should they arise. They have a list of recommended providers and hospitals both in the host city and in areas visited on excursions as well. AMIDEAST maintains a list of private clinics and doctors, and the staff is available to provide students with recommendations as needed.

In addition, students and host families are provided with emergency phone numbers if they become necessary.

 DISABILITY AND ACCESSIBILITY POLICY

FIE is committed to a comprehensive policy of Equal Opportunity.

FIE supports the social model of disability and recognize that environments, services, and facilities may be either “enabling” or “disabling” and therefore accommodations may be necessary in order to allow for full access to FIE programs.

Applications from students with disabilities are welcomed and any necessary accommodations will be handled on an individual case by case basis.

Any queries concerning FIE’s accessibility should be directed to our Administration and Accessibility Manager , Hannah Feakes.
