Quarter Programs

Think of all you can accomplish with 10-12 weeks to not only study, but LIVE abroad with other motivated students, global thinkers, and changemakers. Spending an entire quarter studying abroad is fertile ground for tapping into your inner-explorer (and we have a hunch it’ll make you obsessed with travel, too).

FIE offers six exciting programs that follow the calendars of most institutions operating on a quarter or trimester system. Whether you want to study in winter, spring, summer, or fall, FIE has a program with your name on it.

Our Winter study abroad quarter programs in London, held annually January-March, help you to really start the new year on the right foot. Participants can opt to study or intern as they fall in love with this world-class city and master the art of tea breaks. (Psst! Senior students especially like these program options since they allow you to finish your final quarter/term back home).

Fancy London at the turn of summer? Our Spring quarter study abroad program focuses on health policy, ethics, and genetics, making it a great fit for students aspiring to work in the medical industry or health economy. This programs run from late March-early June.

The extended daylight hours from mid-June to late August make our Summer quarter in London program a great fit for students who want to squeeze out every last ounce of summer. If more passport stamps sound appealing, students can also opt for our combination Dublin/London Summer study abroad program and have a smashing study abroad experience in two cities.

The season of changing leaves in the royal gardens, cozy scarves, and rainboots also happens to be the perfect time to study abroad in London. Our Fall quarter program is study-focused and runs from September-November. If you’re interested in a study & service internship or study & internship program and would like to spend extra three-four weeks abroad, we encourage you to consider one of our full fall semester programs in London. These do not typically conflict with quarter or trimester sessions.
