Sutton

Jaim Sutton has over ten years experience carrying out scientific research within numerous national and international genetic research projects in both the academic and pharmaceutical sectors. She has a Master of Science in Epidemiology, which includes a thesis looking at the effects of genetic variants on alcohol consumption and blood pressure, from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Cellular and Molecular Biology, from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.

Jaim currently manages a large UK wide consortium between the University of Oxford, Health Protection Agency and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute; to establish how whole genome sequencing, bioinformatics and epidemiology can be used in understanding and controlling transmission of hospital based pathogens. Jaim additionally carries out epidemiological research for Queen Mary, University of London on ovarian and colorectal cancer and public health interventions.
